The redirection of a 10% reduction in dining out, entertainment, clothing, and alcohol spending among Chicago individuals aged 25-34 alone could hypothetically provide permanent supportive housing for ~93% of Chicago homeless individuals living on the street or in shelters

Thought Experiment #2

Cutting down on 1 food delivery order per month among Chicago Gen Z individuals and redirecting that money towards homelessness prevention initiatives could provide permanent supportive housing for ~41% of Chicago homeless individuals living on the street or in shelters
